Lewistown Central Elementary School will be hosting “Stomp Your Feet to the Jammin’ Beat”, a family night program for all students and their families in Grades PreK-6 on March 22, 2023. Amy Lowe, Singer/Songwriter/Storyteller from Chicago will be sharing music that features original songs and audience involvement. Amy’s goal is to inspire others to explore the magic of sound, find the rhythm in rhyme, and use music as a collaborative medium of communication, sharing, and learning. Her lively and entertaining program includes environmental awareness, embracing differences, and the ability of everyone to make his or her own music. Amy offers selections from her Parents’ Choice award-winning CDs that encourage the audience to clap their hands, stomp their feet, and sing along to the jammin' beats with songs and stories that spark imagination in all ages.
The program will be coupled with a Taco Bar Dinner at 5:30 p.m. and a Gallery Walk of student artwork from all grade levels, produced in the elementary art classes of Art Teacher, Mr. Roddis. After dinner the featured program will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Central gymnasium.
