Reminder- Please join us for our annual Veterans Day Celebration. The event will include performances by the LCHS Band, all Central Elementary Students, and a keynote speaker. See the flyer for more details including Veterans Breakfast. The VFW will be hosting a lunch after the program as well.

ACT NOW: All students who register and send 10+ invitations will earn all 3 prizes and be entered into drawings to win a Treasure Chest stuffed with cash or Epic Treasure Chest. The first 140 will receive prizes the next day, while the others will get their prizes with the book delivery after the event.
100% of these contributions will directly fund books for our students. For more details, check the attached Treasure Map.

Today we celebrated our October Chief nominees! They enjoyed Casey’s pizza, chips and ice cream sandwiches! We also read a story about a trip to the pumpkin patch with a customized pumpkin craft! Congratulations to these hard-working kiddos!

Lewistown CUSD 97's annual Veterans Day Celebration in conjunction with the VFW and American Legion is fast approaching. See the photo below for more details. The VFW will also host a dinner following the celebration.
LEWISTOWN HIGH SCHOOL RECOGNIZES SIX SENIORS
AS ILLINOIS STATE SCHOLARS
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), the state's college access and financial aid agency, is pleased to announce the 2025-2026* Illinois State Scholars. These top-performing high school seniors are selected annually based on their ACT or SAT test scores and class rank at the end of their junior year. The students rank in approximately the top ten percent of graduates from Illinois high schools, designating their strong academic standing.

This is a reminder that Lewistown Schools will dismiss early on Thursday, October 31st for school improvement planning and staff training. All high school students and early bus riders will dismiss at 11:15am, Central/Elementary walking and pick-up students will be dismissed at 11:20am, and the Central/Elementary buses will dismiss at 11:30am.
Lewistown Central Elementary students will be participating in fall fun on October 31! We will also have an 11:30 dismissal.
Congratulations to our LVC Girls Cross Country Team for advancing to the Sectional as a team on Saturday. Blake Mason and Liam Larson advanced as individuals for the boys. Good luck this weekend!!
