Assistance is needed!
The Drama department is looking to borrow a "Boombox" for the upcoming play. The speaker would need to be battery operated and loud enough to project sound through the auditorium, but just loud enough to have the effect of background noise. The speaker would either need to be Bluetooth compatible or have an auxiliary input. The closer to 1980's style the better. If you are interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Lafary at (309)547-2288. Thank you!

After Prom Fundraising Updates:
First of all, thanks to all who have supported us along the way and will continue to do so until we have met our goal so that we can provide our students with a fun and safe after prom event on April 20th. We are feeling the time crunch, and still have some work to do to meet that goal!
In the interest of making these upcoming events as successful as possible (and having fun in the process) I want to share what we have planned:
1. February 2nd: ADULTS ONLY 21 & OLDER (Yay for us!!!). Ya know, we work awfully hard at parenting and adulting!!! So, on Friday, February 2nd from 8pm to 1:30am (1:30, if you are closer to 21 than I am), Rut-n-Strut will be donating a portion of their profit to our 2023 after prom! It is Karaoke Night, so come out, sing, enjoy being an adult with other adults! 🙂
2. February 17th: KIDS NIGHT OUT!!! Parents, we know this is really for you, but let’s spin it this way so that you can go on a date (or stay at home and listen to the quiet)! On February 17th from 5-10pm Junior class students and parents will host a night out for students in grades pre-k/ec through 4th grade at the high school. We are planning for a movie, a meal, arts and crafts, activities in the gym, snacks, and just a lot of fun! We are asking for a donation of $30/student or $50/family to offset our costs and support our after prom. It will help us plan if you can let us know in advance if your children will attend. Sign-up forms will come home with your students as soon as we return to school! 🙂 If you do not receive a form, please contact Amanda Clanin Cripe, Beth Beebe-Johnson, Laura Barclay, Becky Pollitt Baker, Jenifer Bigham Bonney, Jenni Gray West. Also, and event page will be set up on Facebook where you can provide information for sign-up.
3. March 16th: We are hosting a music trivia night!!! Information will be posted on a Facebook event for sign-up.
4. April 6th: DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT!!!! Yes!!! We are hosting a dodgeball tournament at the high school on Saturday, April 6th starting at 3:00. Again, an event page will be setup on Facebook for you to sign up. We are asking for teams of ANY age, or mixed ages from three years old to 100!!! If you can move, you can play! 🙂 Cost is $10/player, with teams up to ten players. You do not have to have a team of 10, but this is the max. If you think you can take on a team of 10 on your own, go for it!!! We are looking for a variety of teams: students, teachers, community members, business teams, families, alumni, athletic teams, be creative!!! Prizes for best uniforms and champions of the tournament! A bracket will be set up a few days in advance, so please start getting your teams together asap!
5. Our Lewistown Fans Basket Raffle has started and a winner will be drawn on March 15th!!! Please see a junior class student or parent to purchase tickets. The basket is valued at $330+ and tickets are being sold for $5/each or 3/$10. I’m attaching a picture of the basket as a reminder of all of the great things it includes.
6. CHUCK-A-DUCK: Chuck-a-duck is being hosted at each home Lady Indians Basketball Game. Please come out and Chuck-a-duck to support after prom and a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to LaFogata!!! Ducks are $1/each or 7/$5. We have had every age participate and win!!!
***Due to scheduling conflicts the Dancing with the Stars event scheduled for February 25th has been cancelled. We may try this event at a later time for a different fundraiser. There were just too many things going on for everyone to make it a successful event.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your support, generosity, and participation in all of these events in advance so that our kids have the best and safe after prom! We couldn’t do that without such an amazing community of family, friends, and businesses that love them as much as we do!!! You all are very much loved and appreciated!!!
